The Holy Qur’an is a divine rope with which Allah leads (to the right path) His qulls who have been brought to hidayat (guidance) by Him. The Qur’an is the ethics of the Prophet (saws) of Allah, the gate of al-Haqq, an always-apparent miracle and an inextinguishable noor. The souls of arifs receive the secrets of divine marifat from the Qur’an. The marifat, which is not sourced in the Qur’an, is crooked and corrupted. When the qull is able to understand the Qur’an in its haqiqah, he becomes an arif. Secrets of al-Rabb, the angels, the celestial and angelic kingdom (malaqut) become revealed to him. When the arif begins to yearn and cry, he desires to increase his knowledge about Allah through every kind of knowledge and path. In any case, all these kinds of knowledge and paths are present in the Holy Qur’an.
Arifs are people who have gone deep in knowledge. They have believed in the Qur’an. The endeavors of the arifs reach their end in the Qur’an. They are in love with the Qur’an and they receive all their fayz (divine grace) from it. For this reason, the arifs are called ‘the friends of sohbat’ (discourse) of al-Haqq. Through this secret, they discern between the false and the haqiqah.
